Veneers

Veneers offer a great way of transforming your smile in just a few visits. They are very thin porcelain layers which are bonded to the front of your teeth. Because they cover the whole front surface, they can hide many imperfections, from discoloured, chipped or cracked teeth through to crooked ones. Veneers are most commonly used on the upper front teeth.

The procedure involves preparing your teeth by shaping them and removing a thin layer (1/3 – 1 mm) of enamel from the surface of your front teeth. We then take an impression, or mould, of the prepared teeth, so that the porcelain veneers can be fabricated by our dental technician. We go to great lengths to ensure that the veneers are custom made to suit each individual smile.

Once ready, the veneers are bonded into place using dedicated dental adhesives, becoming virtually part of your own teeth and giving you a beautiful, natural-looking smile.

Implants

Dental implants are small man-made titanium screws that serve as a replacement for the root portion of a missing tooth. They can be used to replace a single lost tooth or many missing teeth. Implant supported replacement teeth look, feel and function like natural teeth.

Anyone who is missing one, more than one, or even all of their teeth may be a candidate for dental implants. Age is not necessarily a restriction to dental implants – if you are healthy enough to have a tooth extracted, you’re probably healthy enough to receive implants. Your dentist will determine if you are a candidate for implants after a careful evaluation of your dental and medical history.
